About Me

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

-Jeremiah 29:11.

Glory to God.

HI! My name is Katie. I welcome you to my website, Your Growth! And thank you for wanting to read about me!

I am eager to hear about you and your life, for now, this is a little about me. I have been wanting to start my own business on and off for years and years now. To be honest, I was scared—scared to take a financial risk, to pour my heart and soul into something and it fail or risk negative ridicule, to build a company with zero followers on social media, to work constantly on the business and possibly neglect my life or loved ones. All of the above—and more—kept me hesitant., and scared.

I’ve prayed and prayed over it. Recently, I had the opportunity to step out in a big way and take the chance. And as I write this now, in my heart, I know it’s time to go for it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and I don’t have to put all my eggs in this one basket. The goal is to share my God-given talents to educate and coach, to help people with the knowledge I have, my passion for lifelong learning, and my deep desire to serve others on their wellness journey.

My story is long, unconventional, and winding. One day, I’ll share more of it to show you that no matter the path God places you on—whether you listen and follow it or go your own way—it all serves a purpose. Your story is perfect in His eyes. Even if you go back to graduate school in your mid-30’s, sitting beside eager young students who look like children you could’ve raised. (That was me, 10 years older than the eldest student. But THAT is part of the journey, helping people across the country, leading me to this opportunity, even finding my husband! I thank God, rather than judge myself on the late start). -Trust that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Because of the love and support from my family, friends, husband, and most of all, God, I’m here, to support your growth on your own life’s journey.

With over 21 years of combined education and professional experience, I support individuals in achieving sustainable health, wellness, and performance goals. I hold a Master of Science (M.S.) in Athletic Training and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Promotion & Wellness with a minor in Sports Medicine. I am a nationally board-certified Athletic Trainer and a certified Health and Wellness Coach through the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE).

Additionally, I am a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Functional Movement Screen (FMS) certified, and hold current CPR & First Aid certifications. My credentials

I have over 14 years of continuing education in nutrition, chronic diseases, well-being techniques, sleep, public health studies, and research, and a lot more. All of my education is grounded in evidence-based, peer reviewed, research-focused information. My professional background includes roles as Director of Sports Medicine, Injury Prevention Program Manager, and Chiropractic Assistant. Along with 14 seasons of coaching basketball and 7 seasons of coaching track and field. Settings-all of which support a deep understanding of the musculoskeletal system, orthopedics, athletic injuries, injury prevention, nutrition, physical health & fitness, metabolic health, chronic disease prevention, emotional well-being, and overall health & wellness.

With a passion for helping others and a deep commitment to lifelong learning, I’ve educated and inspired several hundred through impactful presentations, wellness initiatives, and one-on-one coaching thus far, and I would love to continue my passion. My approach is always rooted in evidence-based practices and a genuine desire to empower individuals to improve their quality of life!

This passion is also shaped by my own journey, which includes the hard parts. I’ve never been the most “fit” person. I wasn’t the skinny kid. I’m still not perfect—but I’m committed to MY GROWTH.

I struggled with my weight even as a child. I played basketball from second grade through college, and I was very athletic, but never terribly fit, not what you would call an elite athlete. And in my adulthood, I began to struggle more. I know I needed a change when:

I started researching, and my eyes were opened to knowledge from Dr. Huberman, Dr. Attia, Dr. Bikman, Gary Brecka, and many others. Everything started to shift. My mind, habits, the food I was eating, routine, all of it! And I started to share and education with those around me.

Dr. Attia explores longevity. He talked about something simple but powerful—being able to get off the floor unassisted and pain-free in your elderly years. I had never thought about life that way. I remember saying to myself,

I also remember reflecting for the first time in my life, about my last decade in my elderly years of how I wanted to feel at that time. I have seen my mom struggle, other family members, and in that moment, I changed my focus. I realized I wanted to pursue health not just for today, but for the decades to come—for myself now, my future self, for my family, and for others.

I started digging into everything—my blood work, the food in my home, and the behavior patterns I needed to change. That process helped me grow into a healthier version of myself.

Let me be clear: do I still have work to do? YES.
Can I help you while I’m growing too? ABSOLUTELY.
Can I relate to your struggles? 100%.

So, let’s do this together.
